NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION POLICIES AND PRACTICES

 

Collection Policy

Our firm collects non-public personal information (information that is personally identifiable financial information) about you from the following sources:

·   provided by you for tax preparation purposes

·   developed from your engagement

·   obtained from outside sources by our staff

·   about your transactions with us, such as account balances and payment history

 

Disclosure Policy

For current and former clients, we do not disclose any non-public personal information obtained in the course of our practice, except as required or permitted by law, without permission from that individual (per Internal Revenue Code requirements).  Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to our employees and, in limited situations, to unrelated third parties who need to know that information to assist us in providing services to you.  In all such situations, we stress the confidential nature of information being shared.

 

Protection of Information Policy

We retain records relating to professional services that we provide so that we are better able to assist you with your professional needs and, in some cases, to comply with professional guidelines.

 

Our firm is committed to protecting the security and integrity of your information.  All matters handled by the firm are treated with strict confidentiality and we observe the high standards set by the accounting profession's Code of Ethics.  Access to client data is restricted only to staff of Paulsen, Megaard & Co., PS or its affiliates.  In order to guard your non-public personal information, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with our professional guidelines.

 

Disclosures Required or Permitted by Law

As a Certified Public Accounting firm, we are not required by law to make any non-public personal information disclosures.
